


On 28th November, 2016 MOHAN foundation was invited by Ms. Mamta Sharma, Assistant Professor, State Council of Educational Research & Training, Chandigarh, to conduct an awareness session for their newly recruited TGTs teachers. This was a part of 20 days long training session. Around 38 teachers from different schools of Chandigarh attended the session.
The State Institute of Education, U.T. Chandigarh is the pioneer Institute of North India which has embarked upon itself to provide quality Education and acquaint the teachers with the latest, in the field of education.
Teachers were given an introduction by Ms. Mamta Sharma and presentation on Organ Donation and Brain Death by Ms. Deepika Arora. She explained the concept of organ donation, brain death, myths and facts related to organ donation.
A 5-minute video on brain death was shown when the concept of brain death was being addressed. The teachers were quite keen to know more about the concept and actively took part in the discussion.
All the teachers in the talk expressed their support for the concept.
38 Brochures and 28 Donor cards were picked up by Teachers.
