On 13th September, 2016, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the Commandant, Col. Cheema, 3 Pb. Bn. N.C.C Ropar, to conduct an awareness talk for their N.C.C. Cadets and J.C.Os at NCC Academy, Ropar. The group of Cadets were from Punjab School & Colleges. The cadets were very much aware about Organ Donation. Around 86 cadets and 10 J.C.Os participated in the program.
Audience were given an introduction by Mr. Sudhir Dewan and presentation on Organ Donation and Brain Death by Ms. Deepika Arora. In this talk she explained all aspects of Organ Donation & Transplantation, Types of Donors, Organ donation statistics in India, Brain Death and its Causes, Difference between Brain Death & coma, Myths & Misconceptions on Organ Donation, Value of the Donor card, MOHAN foundation Mission & Vision.
It was indeed & Amazing Session. Cadets & JCOs were given Information Brochures and Donor cards. 20 Donor cards were taken.
At the end of the Session Mr. Sudhir Dewan requested the cadets that we all should pledge our organs and talk to the family, friends, Teachers about this Noble cause.
