On 26th September 2016, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the secretary, Red Cross – Punjab, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk for their first aid students at Vivekanand Bhawan, Chandigarh. Around 32 Students from Various parts of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh patient care attendants and home nursing participated in the session.
Students were given an introduction and presentation on Organ Donation and Brain Death by Deepika Arora. In this talk she explained the concept of organ donation – need of organ donation, Types of organ donation, MOHAN Foundation activities, myths about organ donation, Importance of signing the donor card.
It was very interactive session. 5 Donor cards were taken by the participants.
