On, 3rd August, 2015 MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session for the students of GSSS Dhanas with the help of Computer in charge Ms.Jyoti .Around 100 students attended the session .They were from senior secondary classes of the school. They were given a presentation on Organ donation and Brain death and the concept of organ donation was thoroughly explained by the program Coordinator Nilakshi.
The students were asked various questions about blood donation and eye donation as majority of them knew about it. One of the student shared a traumatic story of a renal failure patient in her neighbourhood. Ms.Jyoti also talked about how her sister’s wish of donating her eyes after death has helped a blind girl to see this world.
It was an interesting session and all the students were enthusiastic to take up this cause and spread the word around in their community.
