On, 1st July, 2015 MOHAN Foundation was invited by Chhotti Si Asha which is a volunteer driven social enterprise which works for building sustainable livelihoods for the underprivileged women & youth in Chandigarh (India). The Organization has around 10 -20 women working under it and located in Naya gawn. The Program Incharge Kusum, invited us to conduct an awareness session for the woman working under them.
Around 15 people participated in the session and a lecture on organ donation was delivered to them by the program coordinator. The women who reside in the colony shared, men are involved in alcoholism and that leads to organ failure. Alcoholism is prevalent in their colony and therefore they have heard many cases of liver failure in their colony itself.
Therefore, all the ladies agreed on to support the cause and propagate the information in the colony about organ donation.
