On, 22nd May, 2015 MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session for the students of GMSSSS-46 Chandigarh; under the Student Awareness Campaign in which all the government school of Chandigarh will be covered .The awareness session was conducted for the students of 12th standard. In which around 100 students participated .The principal and Mr Binoy Kumar arranged the session and appreciated the cause. Mr. Binoy the computer teacher of the school showed his full support to the cause and he said he would love to volunteer for the cause at any time.
Students from medical and humanities were present in the session and they were given a presentation on Organ Donation, types of donations ,THOA and the phenomenon of brain death and he students asked various questions related to that also. One of the student shared a case in which there was brain death in the family and the family believed the patient didn’t die but the hospital denied the treatment to the patient.
Almost all the students liked the cause and promised they will going to promote it in their respective community.
