MOHAN Foundation Conducted an Awareness Talk for First Aid Lecturers Training, Chandigarh

  • On 1st December 2021, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society - Punjab State Branch, Chandigarh to conduct awareness talk at First Aid Lecturers Training Camp held at Punjab Red Cross Bhawan, Chandigarh.

     

    In this camp, participants were being provided an opportunity of community living and knowledge of Red Cross, general health awareness and first aid training, role of volunteers in social welfare activities. Around 55 participants from various districts of Punjab and faculty members of Red Cross - Punjab participated in the session.

     

    Participants were given an introduction and presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Neha Sharma Katoch.

     

    All aspects were like what is organ donation, necessity and Importance of organ donation, Concept of brain death, THO Act and Myths related to organ donation, how to pledge for organ donation were covered.

     

    Participants were very enthusiastic and asked many queries related to the transplantation process.  Around 55 people were present in the training hall and 7 of them picked up their donor card. Participants were highly satisfied and motivated with the noble cause by the MOHAN Foundation. MOHAN Foundation thanks the Red Cross for the opportunity.
