On 14th March 2022, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society - Haryana State Branch, Chandigarh conducted an awareness talk at State Level Youth Red Cross Training Camp for boys held at Punjabi Dhramshala, Kurukshetra.
In this camp, students were being provided an opportunity of community living and knowledge of Red Cross, General Health Awareness and First Aid Training, Role of Volunteers in Social Welfare activities. Around 200 boys from all over the Haryana and 41 counselors from Haryana and Faculty Members of Red Cross – Haryana participated in the session.
Mr. Rohit Sharma, Camp Director addressed the participants telling them how important is organ donation and it provides the opportunity to improve the quality of life and saving lives of others. It is the greatest gift one can ever give.
Participants were given an introduction and presentation on Organ Donation and Brain Death by Ms. Neha Sharma Katoch.
All aspects were like what is organ donation, necessity and importance of organ donation, concept of brain death and myths related to organ donation, how to pledge for organ donation were covered.
Participants were very enthusiastic and asked many queries related to the transplantation process. Participants were highly satisfied and motivated with the noble cause by the MOHAN Foundation.
