




On 22nd August 2017, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society – Haryana State Branch, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk at state level Red Cross Training Camp held at Haridwar.
In this camp, students were being provided an opportunity of community living and knowledge of Red Cross, general health awareness and first aid training, the role of volunteers in social welfare activities. Around 200 students, 16 counsellors from 17 districts of Haryana and faculty members of Red Cross – Haryana participated in the session.
Participants were given an introduction and presentation on organ donation and brain death by Mr. Sudhir Dewan and Ms. Deepika Arora.
All aspects were like what is organ donation, necessity and importance of organ donation, concept of brain death, THO Act and myths related to organ donation, how to pledge for organ donation were covered.
Our special thanks to Mr. Ramashish Mandal, Program Officer for his kind support in organizing the session and also thank to all the counsellors for their support for this noble cause.
