MFJCF- AU Awareness talk on Organ Donation at Subodh PG College, Jaipur, Rajasthan

  • On 05 February 2019 MOHAN Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum- Navjeevan team conducted an awareness talk on Organ Donation at Subodh PG College, Sanganer, Jaipur, Rajasthan with the help of AU Small Finance Bank.

    This college established in the year 1918 by some of the eminent, energy driven leaders to pass on the glorious wealth of knowledge to the coming generation. S.S. Jain Subodh Girls College, Sanganer, a pioneer institution for women education laid its foundation in the year 2004 as an affiliated college to the University of Rajasthan, with just 126 students and today the college stands tall with approximately 3000 registered students. The college has come into existence for providing excellent   graduate and post graduate education in the field of science, commerce and arts.

    Mr. PC Jain , Mrs. Hemlata Shah and Mr. Roshan Bahadur from MFJCF attended the session.

    Mrs. Madhu Shrivastav (Principal) and Mrs. Yadu Sharma (Principal B.E.D College) along with 150 Girls students attended the session and got sensitized about the noble cause. 

    Mr. PC Jain gave presentation and covered following points.

    1. Need of Organ Donation.

    2. Current scenario of organ donation in India.

    3. Myths about organ donation

    Some questions were asked and answered by MFJCF team members.

    1. How long it takes to retrieve a kidney from donor?

    2 Do we need consent of family members for organ donation?

    3 Can I sell my organs?

    After the session all the students picked up donor cards and posed with organ donation message board and banners for the photographs and promised to spread the awareness among friends and family.
