MFJCF-AU Awareness Talk on Organ Donation at Apex Hospital, Jaipur, Rajasthan

  On 15th May 2019, MOHAN Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum Navjeevan team conducted an awareness talk on organ donation at Apex Hospital, Malviya nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan with the help of AU Small Finance Bank.

   

  Apex Hospital is a multi-specialty, 150 bed and state-of-art medical center in Jaipur (Rajasthan, INDIA). Established in year 1994, Apex became one of the first institutes in India to attain ISO 9001 under the leadership of the Managing Director, Apex is one of the very few medical centers in the region with multi-specialty facilities for Cardiac care, Renal transplant, Joint replacement, Obesity surgeries etc.

   

  Mrs. Kamla Choudhari and Mr. Pavan Kumar Dubey represented MFJCF team.

   

  Dr. Ruchi Khanna (Medical Superintendent) and Dr. Swati along with more than 55 nursing staff and nursing students attended  the session and got sensitized about organ donation.

   

  Mrs.Kamla Choudhari gave the presentation with the help of videos based on organ donation and brain death.

   

  Some questions were asked by nursing students and answered by MFJCF member.

   

  1. Do relatives of organ donors get priority in organ transplants?
  2. Is it possible to donate the body after organ donation?
  3. Which organs and tissues can be donated after brain death?

   

  After the session all students posed with the organ donation message board and promised to spread awareness about the noble cause.
