MOHAN Foundation was invited to put up an information desk on the occasion of 70th Independence Day by Kendriya Vidyalaya at Heavy Vehicle Factory (KVHVFA), Avadi. On 15th August 2017 at 10 am the school had organized a blood donation drive and an organ donation awareness at Vijayanatha hall in Avadi. Mr. Siva Shankar represented MOHAN Foundation.
The desk was set up with banner, information brochures and donor cards. Mr. Siva Shankar explained the concepts of Organ Donation to everyone who visited the stall. Some people were able to understand the concepts but they were not ready to take up a donor card, when asked they said “they need to get permission from their family members”.
Nearly 50 people visited the stall and 14 picked donor cards. MOHAN Foundation thanks Ms. Rakhee for organizing the program. She also promised that she would like to do an awareness program next time so that more people will come to know about Organ Donation.
