On Sunday, July 28, 2024, MOHAN Foundation was invited to set up an information desk and conduct an organ donation awareness talk at a health check-up camp held at Tamil Sangam Hall, Vashi. The event was organized by Mr. Prakash Wadkar from Apollo Hospital, who invited MOHAN Foundation to support this important cause.
Throughout the camp, announcements informed attendees about the organ donation information desk. Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi, Public Education Counsellor of MOHAN Foundation, delivered a motivational talk on organ donation, covering key topics such as organ and tissue donation, the different types of organ donations, and addressing common misconceptions.
At the information desk, Ms. Prarthana and her team responded to all visitor queries, providing detailed explanations and clarifications. The response from attendees was very positive, with many showing a willingness to pledge their organs. MOHAN Foundation distributed organ donor cards and brochures to further educate and engage the public.
The session saw approximately 58 participants, with 25 individuals filling out pledge forms to commit to organ donation. The event effectively raised awareness and encouraged greater support for the cause.
