An information desk on organ donation was set up for the employees of CRISIL in Gurgaon on 16th October 2012 as part of their “Joy of Giving Week” initiative. Crisil is a global analytical company providing ratings, research and risk and policy advisory services.
The information desk was set up in the cafeteria so as to reach maximum number of employees. Queries like how to pledge one's organs, difference between cardiac death and brain death and organ and tissue donation were aptly handled by MOHAN Foundation's representatives. The importance of sharing the decision to pledge one's organs with the family members was also stressed. Fliers and donor cards were distributed. The response to the awareness kiosk was not big as far as numbers are concerned but whoever visited the desk was quite motivated and immediately pledged their organs.
Some fliers were also left behind with the HR representative for this initiative, to be distributed to employees who could not visit the desk.
