  • MOHAN Foundation’s - Delhi Office was invited by the Department of Management Studies, IIT, Delhi during their two-day fest “Parivartan 2012” on January 28th and 29th, 2012 to set up an Information and Awareness Kiosk on Organ Donation. The event saw the participation of top-notch business schools from Delhi NCR and other parts of the country. Around 250-300 students participated in various events organized during the fest.

Many students visited the Kiosk and were given information on Organ Donation. The Head of the Department, Dr. S. K. Jain, also visited the stall and was very curious to know about the modalities of donating other organs, apart from eyes. He was quite impressed by MOHAN Foundations support to Organ Donation and has invited the team to the annual fest of IIT, Delhi that is to held in September-October every year. The organ donor cards and flyers were kept at the registration desk to reach the maximum number of people. About 50 organ donor cards were distributed.

Ms. Manisha Gupta, Programme Manager at the Delhi office also conducted an awareness talk on Organ Donation on the second day after one of the competitions. As a series of events were planned after the competition, queries could not be taken immediately after the talk. However, students were keen to know more on the subject and approached Ms. Manisha on a one-to-one basis with questions.  Few of them also showed interest in volunteering for the cause.
