The first-ever Skin Bank of the Telangana state was inaugurated on 28th June 2021 at the Osmania General Hospital, Hyderabad. A combined effort of Rotary Club and Hetero Pharmaceuticals Group, the skin bank would be the first to cater to the Telugu-speaking twin states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Mr. Mahmood Ali, Home Minister of Telangana, and Dr. Parthasaradhi Reddy, Chairman of the Hetero Group were the Chief Guests at the inaugural ceremony.
Dr. Bhanu Chandra, Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation was instrumental in securing the license for setting up the bank and organising the opening ceremony.
