Iconic Flashmob at Major Metro Stations and one Mall at Hyderabad

  • On 16th July 2022, A flashmob in association with Kosmic Dance School and Ultimate Sound Pro was conducted to sensitise the masses and passengers of Hyderabad Metro Rail on Organ Donation. The dancers of this flashmob were young kids from the age of 9-20 years who kept the audience hooked with their moves.

    The group of dancers were hopping on and off the metro stations and the mall, as they groove to the tune of various numbers, for raising awareness. This was the first time that a flashmob was performed at three major metro stations where in the dancers boarded the metro train and danced at the three major metro stations on the same day. Hence,making it a “Iconic” and “first-of-its-kind”in the state of Telangana.

    The three major metro stations were:

    • Secunderabad East  Metro Station: This was the first metro station and the starting point of the event. The students wore a black tee-shirt and badges of MOHAN Foundation which ensured uniformity throughout the performance. They performed on  various numbers from different languages like English,hindi,telugu and tamil to attract the  masses . A small skit  followed by a small talk on Organ Donation was also performed for a greater impact on the cause. Close to 100 people were present at this metro station who enjoyed the performance.

     

    • Parade Ground Metro Station : The students immediately boarded the train and reached the next station i.e Parade Ground. The students here performed with a lot of enthusiasm, energy and the expressions of the students was top-notch which also motivated the crowd to shake a leg with these students . This motivated the children and their energies were high throughout the show . They also displayed MOHAN Foundation Toll Free number and placards which had hard-hitting messages for the general public.A small talk on Organ donation was conducted and pamplets were distributed to the metro-goers. Close to 200 people were present at this metro station 

     

    • Ameerpet Metro Station :  Ameerpet Metro station is one the most busiest metro station in Hyderabad. The students reached here at around 7:00pm which was the busiest hour at the Hyderabad Metro Station. Hence, the crowd here was phenomenal. The students quickly arranged themselves in a formation and grooved to the tunes of peppy dance numbers which attracted all the passengers towards the dancers. Ameerpet Metro station is a quadrangular platform i.e it is visible from all the four sides of entry and exit points. Hence, the crowd was able to see the dance from all these points making it highly reachable and drawing attention towards the cause. A small talk on Organ Donation was given by Ms. Srividya Subramanian on Organ Donation which was well received by the crowd. Close to 1000 people were sensitised and pamplets were distributed making the dance a grand success. 

     

    • Irrum Manzil Mall : This was the final point of the flashmob which was directly accessible from the Metro Station. The students immediately placed themselves in a formation and danced to the tunes of their favourite songs. The crowd was gathered on all the floors of the mall and cheered for these kids. A small talk on Organ donation followed by a skit was performed to sensitise the masses on the cause. Momentos were given to Mr. Mahesh Maddy ,Mrs Lalitha who represented Kosmic Studio for dance and Mrs. Anumitha from L&T  Hyderabad Metro rail for their contributions in the event. A Signature Flex Board along with foam boards where people pledged to become Organ Donation Ambassadors was setup. Close to 200 people were present at the mall. 

     

    MOHAN Foundation salutes Mr. Mahesh for training the students for the flashmob and L&T Hyderabad Metro Rail for Granting Permissions for the event making it a grand success

    Close to 2,000 people were sensitised in the event  and 1500 people pledged to donate organs which will go a long way in promoting Deceased organ donation in the state of Telangana.
