The day after Tamil New Year on 15th April 2018, Happy To Help NGO organised an event for the evening walkers and visitors at the Anna Nagar Tower Park, Chennai. MOHAN Foundation was invited as a resource partner for the awareness programme on Organ Donation. The event started at 4 pm. Ms. Suganya Ramar and Mr. P. Kumareshwaran represented MOHAN Foundation and set an information desk with posters, banners, information brochures, donor cards.
Approximately 150 people attended the awareness programme. All the members and volunteers who attended this session were given a green ribbon and brochures. Mr. Aravind from Happy to Help explained about Organ Donation, when & how to donate organs and importance of Organ Donation to the public.
At the end of the session more than 100 people pledged to donate their organs and picked a donor card and a green balloon. Online registration was managed by members of Happy to Help. The session ended with a group photo. We thank Mr. Gowtham, President of Happy to Help for the invitation.
