On March 8, 2025, the MOHAN Foundation was honored to be invited to sensitize the nursing students, staff, and CEOs of the Charitable Hospital Association in celebration of International Women’s Day.
The program began with a warm welcome from Dr. Vilas Shende, CEO of Mure Memorial Hospital, followed by a detailed and informative session led by Veena Wathore, Project Manager at the MOHAN Foundation. Veena provided an in-depth explanation about the critical importance of organ and tissue donation. She carefully outlined the process of pledging to donate and emphasized the significance of deceased organ donation. By walking the audience through the journey—from the moment of a donor's death to the successful transplantation into a recipient—Veena highlighted how an individual's decision to donate can have a life-saving impact.
In addition, she introduced the MOHAN Foundation's range of e-learning courses, designed to help individuals become more informed and actively involved in the cause.
The event was attended by over 50 participants, including nursing students, hospital staff, and CEOs, all of whom left with a greater understanding of the importance of organ donation and how they can contribute to this life-changing cause.
