Late Srivari Ramadevi 86, expired on 2nd February 2014 following heart failure in Hyderabad. Her sons decided to go ahead with cornea donation. She was survived by 3 sons and 8 daughters.
On 12th February’2014 on the occasion of her 10th day ceremony, the entire family consisting of 107 members came together at her village Ankiraopally, Kollapur Mandal, Mahboob nagar District. On this day they unanimously decided to pledge their organ in honour of her memory. The family had gathered from all over India and those who were abroad also pledged their organs and gave oral consent.
