Updated on Monday, September 15, 2025
  • On September 14, 2025, the E.V.R. Colony Resident Welfare Association celebrated its 3rd anniversary at Winners Academy Football Turf, Puzhudivakkam. As part of the celebrations, special awareness sessions on eye donation and ear health were organized for the benefit of the residents.

After a round of games and fun activities, about 96 residents gathered for the cultural programs and health awareness talks. The session began with Ms. Devaki, Governor, Alliance Clubs International – Puzhudivakkam, introducing the guest speakers: Mr. Ganesh C, Senior Project Executive, MOHAN Foundation, and Dr. Natarajan, ENT Specialist.

Mr. Ganesh C highlighted the work of MOHAN Foundation in promoting deceased organ donation. He explained the process of corneal donation—when and how it takes place, the precautions involved, and common myths versus facts. He also emphasized the importance of the Organ Donation Helpline – 1800 103 7100.

Following this, Dr. Natarajan delivered an insightful talk on ear health, stressing how hearing loss can be prevented and how individuals with hearing disabilities often face social isolation.

To reinforce the message, information brochures on corneal and organ donation awareness were distributed among the residents.

MOHAN Foundation extends its sincere thanks to Ms. Devaki for her support and for providing the opportunity to spread this important message during the community’s annual celebration.
