Deceased Organ Donation discussed at 17th National Conference of IAP Intensive Care

  • In the chain of spreading awareness for Deceased Organ Donation, MOHAN Foundation Jaipur Citizens Forum (MFJCF) setup an awareness stall on 28th & 29th Nov. 2015 at the 17th National Conference of IAP Intensive Care Chapter & the 1st International Conference on Pediatric Care Diseases at B.M. Birla Science & Technology Centre, Statue Circle, Jaipur.

     

    Doctors from different regions participated in the conference so it was an opportunity to make them aware about progress in the field of organ donation in Rajasthan. Many doctors appreciated the efforts by MFJCF for the noble cause of “GIFT A LIFE”. Approx 200 medical practitioners attended this conference. 7-8 of them took pledge for organ donation, few people from pharmaceutical companies asked for  organ donation program.MFJCF was represented by  Mrs. Bhavana Jagwani, Mrs. Hemalata Shah, Mr. Prajesh Taneja, Dr. Shailaja Sharma , Dr. Poonam Gupta and Mr. Roshan Bahadur.

    Mrs. Bhavna Jagvani, Convener, MFJCF was invited to the panel discussion on organ donation. Many topics were discussed including role of NGO to conduct the organ donation program  smoothly, Indian Scenario of Organ Donation, Dilemmas in Organ Donation, Role of web registry,  Donor optimization & Role of critical care doctors & nurses in organ donation program.
