Confluence Of NGOs & Corporates at Raj Nivas, Puducherry

  • Lt. Governor of Puducherry Dr. Kiran Bedi invited MOHAN Foundation for one of its kind program in Raj Nivas. Various NGO’s and Corporates working in Puducherry were invited for a evening meeting to discuss the future plan and ways to improve the service to the society on 04-03-17.  Mr. Ruban Victor represented MOHAN Foundation and Aishwarya Trust in the confluence.

    The meeting started with the prayer song from the UDHAVI Karangal NGO for Girls. Followed by the prayer song, Mr. Devanithi Das, Secretary to Lt. Governor gave the welcome speech to the gathering. He quoted “the meeting is a bridge between the corporate and NGOs”. Mr. Devanithi Das also added NGO’s are ones who help in serving the society. He also said more workshops will be conducted in Raj Nivas and help NGOs to reach the objectives.

    Following the welcome speech, there was a session on self introduction by the NGO’s and corporates. All the NGO’s spoke about the activities and how they are serving people in the society. Mr. Ruban Victor spoke on MOHAN Foundation activities in Puducherry and other states. The aim of starting an organ registry in Puducherry and to promote public awareness on organ donation, which will help people who are suffering from end stage organ failure with the lease of life and spoke on Aishwarya trust activities in Puducherry and other places, CHD (Congenital Heart Disease) screening activities, which has helped many children in early detection of heart disease and activities in Heart Transplants. After the self introduction of NGO’s, Corporate  like Indian Bank, Lakshmi Vilas bank, LIC India, Whirlpool, TVS addressed the gathering.

    Dr. Kiran Bedi, delivered the Chief Guest address. She spoke on the working of Raj Nivas, how it is bridging the gap between the various needs of the society. Dr. Kiran Bedi also added objective of the evening is to connect with each other, her experiences of having two NGO’s which she is been working for 30 years. She requested all the people to connect with each other and share their energy, their experiences and their time to NGO’s in need. Dr. Kiran Bedi requested the gathering to work with each other and help the society.

    After the chief guest address, Ms. Asha, Comptroller of House gave the oath of thanks, followed by a high tea, where all the NGO’s and corporate discussed the ways they can help each other. The session helped all NGO’s to know about each other in Puducherry and ways to serve society in better way.

    Around 80 NGO’s working in different fields participated in the event and many leading CSR initiative corporate attended the event. The program ended with the group photo with the participants of the program.
