The Chennai based social work students of SDNB Vaishnav College organized a rural camp programme as part of their curriculum in chengalpet district. The camp was at the Kollamedu village were Irula community lived. MOHAN Foundation, coordinators were invited to educate the community people about organ donation. The village people were gathered in the community hall.
Mr.Prakash & Ms.Sindhu shared the session and explained the types of organ donation, who can donate, when a person can donate, why we should donate our organs, procedure for eye donations and whole body donations. Many elderly people attended the program and shared their thoughts about organ donation. They all extended their support by pledging a donor card.
