On 25th Nov 2019, Mrs. Jaya Jairam conducted an awareness talk for the 1st year students of Pearl Academy, Andheri (Mumbai), motivating them to support the cause and consider taking the pledge to become organ donors.
Concepts of confidentiality between donor families and recipients, the process of organ donation and superstitious beliefs associated with the cause were discussed.
Around 50 students attended the workshop, of which quite a few of them under-aged and were not eligible to take the pledge. They were encouraged to discuss the concept at home.
