On 22nd December, 2016, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Amarjit Singh, NSS Program Officer of Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Sector-20/B, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk for their students at the NSS Camp of their school. Approximately 66 students from class 12th attended the session.
Students were given an introduction & presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Deepika Arora. The talk focused on concepts of organ donation and transplantation.
Explained the following points:-
Types of Donors
In case of natural death which tissues can be donated
In case of Brain death which organs and tissues can be donated
Myths on organ donation
Importance of Donor card
After the presentation Mr. Amarjit singh NSS program officer motivate the students in a big way and promised that they will definitely work on this cause and asked to take pledge for organ donation.
