MOHAN Foundation was invited by Thiruthangal Nadar College to deliver an awareness talk on organ donation for its non- teaching staff at the college premises on Sep 14, 2018. The programme started at around 10:45 AM and 20 non-teaching staff was in attendance.
T S Siva Shankar (Helpline Executive, MOHAN Foundation), Dr. Hemal Kanvinde (Quality Assurance Officer, MOHAN Foundation), Amal Antony Augustian and Hepzibah Synthiah David (Interns from Madras Medical Mission) were the resource people. Siva Shankar spoke on various topics that included organ donation concepts, organs that can be donated, importance of organ donation, and requested the audience to register themselves as donors.
Having understood the value of organ donation, many of them pledged their organs and received their donor cards. Organs’ jigsaw puzzle games were conducted by Dr. Hemal, Amal and Hepzibah to end the session.
