

An awareness session on organ and tissue donation was conducted by Ms. Sangeetha K, Project Executive at MOHAN Foundation, on April 24, 2025. The awareness was carried out at Annai Ullam Old Age Home in Kodambakkam, Chennai. The session aimed to educate the elderly residents and staff about the importance of organ and tissue donation, dispel common myths, and explain the legal and ethical aspects involved.
Ms. Sangeetha provided a clear overview of the donation process and shared inspiring stories to encourage participants. The session was well-received, with active participation and a keen interest shown by attendees also some of whom expressed their willingness to pledge as organ donors. Nearly 20 people participated and 8 picked up the donor card.
The event successfully contributed to spreading awareness and fostering a positive attitude toward organ donation in the community. MOHAN Foundation would like to thank A S Munavar Basha, Founder of Annai Ullam for this oppurtunity.
