On May 26, 2026, MOHAN Foundation organized an Eye Donation Awareness Session at Subdistrict Hospital, Mokhada, which was attended by approximately 45 individuals. The purpose of the session was to enlighten the community about the significance of eye donation in restoring vision for those with corneal blindness.
The session covered various aspects, including the benefits of eye donation, eligibility requirements, and the procedures involved in posthumous eye donation. Participants were also briefed on the societal impact of eye donation, stressing the importance of pledging and encouraging family members to endorse the cause.
Interactive discussions were held during the session, allowing participants to seek clarification on any doubts they had regarding eye donation. Informational materials and guidance were distributed to encourage attendees to disseminate accurate information about eye donation in their respective villages and communities.
The event was deemed successful, thanks to the active involvement of the participants and the invaluable support received from the hospital staff.
