
On August 21, 2024, the MOHAN Foundation team from Vadodara engaged first-year students at Baroda Medical College in an enlightening awareness session. The focus was on the urgent need to boost organ donation and the crucial role medical professionals play in identifying and certifying potential donors. The session shed light on the collaborative efforts between the State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO) and NTORC hospitals, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in improving organ donation rates.
The interactive session also addressed and debunked common myths and misconceptions about organ donation, providing students with clear, factual information. Additionally, the team met with Ms. Poonam, a faculty member and former DNS at Dhiraj Hospital, who is currently pursuing Organ Donation Ambassador training with the MOHAN Foundation. This meeting highlighted the ongoing commitment to organ donation education and the importance of continued professional development in this critical field.
