  All the audience of batch II actively participated in the session and all of them took the pledge for organ donation

  On July 11, 2023, MOHAN Foundation was invited to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for the staff at EIGEN Business. Mr. Srinivasan, Business Head of EIGEN reached out to Ms. Pallavi Kumar, Executive Director (Delhi NCR) MOHAN Foundation, to conduct an awareness session on Organ donation.

  Ms. Pallavi Kumar, then coordinated with Mr. Shridhar Hanchinal the centre head Karnataka.         The Centre head agreed to conduct the session. Ms. Ranjini Shankar MS, Project Manager, accompanied by Mr. Surya Prakash, Program coordinator, MOHAN Foundation conducted the talk at EIGEN Business at the Aerospace Bengaluru.

  MOHAN Foundation conducted two sessions for two different batches according to the shift wise, the first session was conducted from 1 - 2pm, the second session was conducted from 3 - 4pm at EIGEN Business, Aerospace Bengaluru, and Mrs. Ranjini Shankar was the key resource.                                                                                                            

  Mrs. Ranjini Shankar MS, initiated the session by introducing MOHAN Foundation, its mission, vision and kept the audience engaged throughout the session. The following concepts were explained in detail.

  • Concepts of organ and tissue donation,
  • The types of death i.e., cardiac death and brain death
  • Brain Death and declaration concept
  • Procedure of deceased organ donation and live organ donation.
  • Procedure of tissue donation
  • Barriers in the process of organ donation
  • Myths and facts related to organ donation and its impact on the society
  • Role of Jeevasarthakathe
  • Importance of Donor card

  Mrs. Ranjini Shankar MS gave a brief insight into MOHAN Foundation courses and motivated the staff to pledge for organ donation

  Around 115 members attended the session. All 115 of them supported the cause by taking the pledge for organ donation.

  Brochures and donor cards were distributed at the end of the session
