

On August 19, 2016, MOHAN Foundation was invited to conduct an awareness session on organ donation at the Walmart Global Technology Services department of Walmart India.
Walmart India owns and operates 21 Best Price Modern Wholesale stores offering nearly 5,000 items in a Cash & Carry wholesale format. The Best Price stores offer best prices with unmatched convenience, choice, quality and hygiene. The session was coordinate by Deeksha Kwatra and Ranjit Ram of the company. Ms Pallavi Kumar conducted the session.
Pallavi focused on basic concepts of organ donation and transplantation, cornea donation, brain death/coma, tissue donation after cardiac death and Transplantation of Human Organs Act 1994. A five minute video on brain death was shown while the concept of brain death was being explained. The audience comprised of young people and many questions followed the talk.
Around 20 employees attended the talk and more than 20 donor cards were picked up.
