On 25th November 2018, MOHAN Foundation Mumbai was invited by Mr. Bhal Chilana to conduct an Awareness Session on Organ Donation.
Simran Sapphire CHS by Rotary Club of Navi Mumbai has organized Blood Donation Camp on 25th November 2018 from 9 am to 5 pm.
Along with the Blood Donation Camp they also wanted the voluntary Blood Donors to get aware about Organ Donation so MOHAN Foundation took the lead and gave Organ Donation Awareness Talk.
The Organ donation Stall was also set up by MOHAN Foundation. Many people visited the stall and were informed about what is Organ Donation, when, who, why and how it can be done? Ms. Jigisha Yadav briefly focused on the need for organs, India’s organ donation rate statistics and types of Death viz. Brain stem death and Cardiac Death.
About 45-50 members attended the Stall and were distributed informative brochures. Different FAQs were asked like what is the difference between Coma and brain dead which was answered by Ms. Jigisha Yadav and Mr. Akash Salve.
We want to speciallythanks Mr. Bhal Chilana who is Life Member and who undertook a roadtrip from Mumbai to London spreading the message of Organ Donation in about 14 countries which was supported by Mohan Foundation. We are also grateful to Mr. L.N Gupta and Mr. Prithviraj Pradhan as well as other participants who took interest & thereby supporting the cause donation. Many people took pledge and many showed interest in signing up online Pledge form along with their family members.
