A sensitisation programme on organ donation for the "Suryoday" small finance group members was conducted on 30th July 2018 at their office located at Siddhapur, Coimbatore.
Mr. Nishanth C.V. Transplant Coordinator deputed by MOHAN Foundation to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital addressed the audience. Mr Pechithambi CSR Manager, Coimbatore & Salem Circle introduced the speaker to the audience.
Mr. Nishanth covered the concepts of organ donation, donation after brain death and natural death. Misconceptions about brain stem death were explained to the members. Around 60 members participated in the programme and 5 members pledged to be organ donors.
