MOHAN Foundation was invited by Siragugal Foundation to give an awareness talk on Organ Donation and Transplantation. Mr. Murali Krishnan, Founder Trustee of Siragugal Foundation has organized the Foundation’s inauguration on 21st November 2010 at DAE Township, Kalpakkam. Apart from organ donation awareness the foundation has also organized a Blood Donation camp on the same day. Dr.S.Ashokan, Founder, A.P.Hithendran Memorial Trust gave the inaugural speech and shared his experiences with A.P.Hithendran Memorial Trust working for the cause “Organ Donation”. The Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation presented the talk on organ donation and transplantation. The concepts of Brain Death, Transplantation of Human Organs act, Organ Donation, Transplantation Concepts were discussed. The coordinator also shared experience in Govt. General Hospital and the donor stories. The people gathered were inspired by this cause and they showed their interest in spreading this message. Documentaries and add spots were also shown. The Program ended with nearly thirteen people pledging for organ donation.
