Kalai Bharathi B.Ed College, Sholinghur, provides quality education to the rural villages in Ranipet District. An awareness program on Organ Donation and Transplantation was organized on February 28, 2023 for the students and teaching faculty of Kalai Bharathi B.Ed College. 76 students and teaching staff participated.
Mr. Ganesh C, Marketing Coordinator MOHAN Foundation introduced the work of MOHAN Foundation. He spoke of the need for organ donation and concepts of Organ Donation. He explained Brain death and how it is different from coma. He elaborated on myths and scams on organ donation and the service of a toll-free Organ Donation Helpline 1800 103 7100. The students grasped the gist of the awareness session very well and promised to spread the word to their surroundings.
The session concluded with a brief Q&A session. MOHAN Foundation extends its gratitude to the Principal Ms. Rajathi for this wonderful opportunity. 47 members picked up a donor card and pledged to be an organ donor.
