Awareness Talk on Organ Donation conducted at Bison Polo Grounds, Secunderabad

  • On 11th August 2023, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness talk on organ donation for the high school NCC students at Bison Polo Grounds in Secunderabad. The session was conducted in association with Rotary Club & NV Laxmi Foundation. Ms. Srividya.S from MOHAN Foundation was the key speaker.

    The following were discussed in detail

    • Organ donation and its need in the society
    • When and how does organ donation take place
    • Organs that can be donated during life and after death
    • Transplant waiting list in India
    • Role of MOHAN Foundation
    • Eye donation
    • Brain death & clinical aspects of brain death
    • Green corridor

    Close to 100 students attended the session and enthusiastically posed several questions on organ donation
