  On 20^th March 2019, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Akshay, Admission cell Officer to conduct an awareness talk on Organ Donation.

   

  In this program, there were 90 students of B. Pharmacy who participated with keen interest. Programme Officer, Ms. Neha Sharma came to supervise the programme. Firstly, Ms.Neha Sharma started the lecture giving information about Organ Donation and Transplantation and its importance.

   

  Students were given an introduction and presentation on Organ Donation and Brain Death by Dr.Shilpa.

   

  In this talk she explained the following points: -

  • Organ donation types and who can be a donor
  • The status of Organ Donation in India and their Requirements Vs Donation rates
  •  She challenged 5 myths with 5 facts on Organ Donation
  •  Difference between natural death and brain death
  • Age is not a constraint in donating their organs.
  •  Real life stories of an organ transplant being shared with the participants
  •  Importance of Donor card
  •  To pledge their organs, they can register at MOHAN Foundation.
  • MOHAN Foundation mission & vision.

   

  It was an interactive session. The entire group got motivated and convinced to support Organ Donation. All of them took the Donor Cards to express their wish through MOHAN Foundation. They would love to share their wish with their families. Our special thanks to Mr. Akshay, Admission Cell Officer for their kind support in Organising the session.
