On, 28th April 2015 an awareness session was conducted for the students of Government High School, Sector-38, Chandigarh. Around 100 students participated and they were from 10th standard. The principal Mr.Nirmal Singh and the teachers of the school were really very supportive.
The students were given a presentation on organ donation, what are the organs that can be donated and the phenomenon of brain death by the Program Coordinator Nilakshi. The myths and misconception associated regarding organ donation were also discussed and got cleared. The students asked many questions related to organ donation.
The donor cards were shown to them. It was an interactive session and students participated actively. Information brochures were also distributed among the students.
