On, 24th March, 2015 MOHAN Foundation Chandigarh conducted an awareness session for the students of Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology, sector-26. Mr D.K Soni who is teaching the mechanical branch as well as a Programme Officer NSS invited Chandigarh team to conduct a session for their students. The Principal R.K Kapoor also attended the session and supported the cause of Organ Donation.
The main idea of them inviting MOHAN Foundation was to create awareness among the students of NSS so that they’ll propagate the information on Organ Donation. Around 100 students participated in the session. They were given information regarding the objective of MOHAN Foundation and given a presentation on Brain Death, The Human Organ Act and all the relevant information related to organ donation and transplant by Mr.Sudhir Dewan and Ms.Nilakshi.
It was a very stimulating and interactive session and students asked many relevant questions related to organ donation and brain death. They were given MOHAN Foundation’s information Brochures and majority of them picked the donor cards (around 100). Mr. Soni NSS in charge informed that he highly supports the cause and look forward to have Mohan’s association in their various NSS programs.
