On 13th August, 2013 an awareness talk on organ donation was organised for the employees of two branches of Photon Infotech, Bangalore. The two branches were located in Eco World and Information Technology Park Limited (ITPL).
Ms. Smeja Paul, Project Manager, MOHAN Foundation, Bangalore conducted the session. It started with the participants sharing their knowledge about organ donation. After that Ms. Paul expanded their existing knowledge by explaining about the concept of organ donation, about the legal aspects governing it and about the concept of brain death. She emphasised on how every one of them can help in spreading awareness about the issue. At the end there was a question and answer session. Followed by that; the interested participants picked up the donor card and pledged their organs. At Photon Infotech, Eco World 26 out of 34 employees picked up the donor card and at Photon Infotech, ITPL 34 out of 40 employees who attended the session picked up the donor card.
