MARC School of Business located at Jayanagar , Bangalore invited V Krishnan of MOHAN FOUNDATION to deliver a guest lecture on ORGAN DONATION on 20th Sept 2017. The Awareness Talk on Organ donation was attended by 29 keen and inquisitive students and lasted over 90minutes including Q&A.
One of the students introduced MOHAN FOUNDATION and V. Krishnan to the audience.
During the talk cum presentation Mr. Krishnan explained the why what when and how of Organ Donation and showed a video on Brain Death to drive home the concept. He dwelt at length on the list of patients waiting for an Organ, the shortage of Organs and how Cadaver Organ Donation can change the depressing scenario.
Donor Cards and Brochures of MOHAN FOUNDATION were distributed to those who wished to pledge their organs.
Amongst the Q&A , 2 questions deserve attention:
1. How to get over/reduce time on Post Mortem issues and maximise time available for the transplant procedure?
2. Can a person having a problem with one Organ or a disease consider donating another good organ?
The Awareness talk ended with a Vote of Thanks and presentation of memento Krishnan.
