  On 23^rd June 2023, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session for the high school students in the Government Girls School at Maredpally in Hyderabad. Ms. Srividya S was the key speaker.

  Ms. Srividya.S started the session by asking a few introductory questions on organ donation and then introduced MOHAN Foundation to the participants and kept the audience engaged throughout the session. The following were discussed in detail:

  • Organ donation and its need in the society
  • When and how does organ donation take place
  • Organs that can be donated during life and after death
  • Transplant waiting list in India
  • Brain death and clinical aspects of brain death
  • Difference between brain death and coma
  • Role of MOHAN Foundation
  • Eye donation

  Ms. Srividya S spoke about various ways in which students can be involved in spreading the message of organ donation. Close to 100 students were present in the session and was conducted in two batches for the 8^th and 9^th grade students
