An awareness session on organ donation was organized by MFJCF for the newly recruited Medical Officers under the ongoing foundation training program on 25th Nov, 2024. This initiative aimed to sensitize healthcare professionals about the importance of organ donation and equip them with knowledge essential for their roles in the medical field.
The session was led by Dr. Sanjana Bhojwani, a dedicated member of MFJCF. Dr. Bhojwani provided a comprehensive overview of the current scenario of organ donation in India, including the legal framework, ethical considerations, and the critical role medical officers play in facilitating organ donation. The interactive session encouraged participants to ask questions and discuss real-world challenges in implementing organ donation practices. Dr. Bhojwani also shared inspiring stories of successful transplants to motivate the officers to promote the cause actively in their professional capacities.
Close to 25 participants were sensitized.
