

On 17th January 2018, MOHAN foundation was invited by Ms. Mamta Sharma, Assistant Professor, State Council of Educational Research & Training, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness session for their newly recruited TGTs teachers. Which was a part of 20 days long training session. Around 60 teachers from different government schools of Chandigarh attended the session.
The State Institute of Education, U.T. Chandigarh is the pioneer Institute of North India which has embarked upon itself to provide quality Education and acquaint the teachers with the latest, in the field of education.
Teachers were given an introduction and presentation on Organ Donation and Brain Death by Ms. Deepika Arora.
The session covered topics like what is Organ donation, types of donations, difference between natural death & brain death, myths related to Organ donation, How to pledge organs.
A 5- minute video on Brain death was shown when the concept of Brain death was being addressed.
It was indeed an amazing session as teachers asked various questions on organ donation and about organ allocation.
