
On August 21, 2025, the MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on organ donation at Indira Nagar, Khar (East), Mumbai. The session, though small in scale, was impactful and focused on reaching out to the local community. A total of 15 individuals attended, engaging actively with the content shared. The session was led by Ms. Rajeshree, who provided a clear and relatable explanation of organ donation, its significance, and the difference between living and deceased donation.
Participants were introduced to the concept of brain death, the process of organ donation, and the importance of family consent in the donation journey. While no donor cards were issued during this session, the attendees expressed interest and appreciation for the information shared. The session succeeded in planting the seeds of awareness and encouraging participants to consider organ donation as a noble and life-saving act.
