  Ms. Neha Sharma is being felicitated

  On 19^th December 2019, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mrs. Usha Saini, NSS Program Officer in Government Model Senior Secondary School, Behlana, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk on Organ Donation for their NSS Students. Approximately 60 students from class 12^th attended the session.

  Mrs. Usha Saini, NSS Program Officer addressed the students and gave a brief introduction on Organ Donation to their students.

  Students were given an introduction & presentation on how important is Organ donation and tissue donation and too many people waiting for transplant by Ms. Neha Sharma.

  In this talk she explained the following points: -

  • Organ donation types and who can be a donor
  • The status of Organ Donation in India and their requirements vs donation rates
  • She challenged 5 myths with 5 facts on Organ Donation
  • Difference between natural death and brain death
  • Age is not a constraint in donating their organs.
  • Real life stories of an organ transplant being shared with the participants
  • Importance of the Donor card
  • To pledge their organs they can register at MOHAN Foundation
  • MOHAN Foundation’s mission & vision

  All the students got motivated and convinced to support organ donation.  Around 10 students pledged their organs by signing the Donor Cards. Students did applaud in the end for the efforts taken by MOHAN Foundation.
