On July 30, 2024 an engaging awareness session on organ donation was conducted, drawing a total of 110 participants from the community. The session aimed to educate individuals on the significance of organ donation, address common myths, and encourage pledges to become organ donors. Ms. Prarthana opened the session with a compelling introduction on the vital role organ donation plays in saving and improving lives. Following this, Ms. Sakshi took the floor to tackle prevalent myths and provide factual information about organ donation. Her presentation effectively dispelled misconceptions, such as concerns about the impact on medical care and the misconception that organ donation is only for the elderly. The session was interactive and informative, leading to a notable outcome: 48 attendees pledged to donate their organs. This positive response highlights the effectiveness of the session in raising awareness and fostering a commitment to organ donation. Overall, the event achieved its objectives by informing the community, correcting misunderstandings, and garnering significant support for organ donation.
