  • On July 7, 2017, MOHAN Foundation was invited to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for the students of std X & XI (Biology section) of Bal Bharti Public School at Noida. The session was organised and coordinated by Ms. Vidhi Oberoi (secondary school department teacher).

MOHAN Foundation successfully completed Angels of Change - Volunteers Training for Organ Donation at Bal Bharti Public School, New Delhi for students of classes IX, X &  XI in May 2017. Following which a proposal to conduct this training in other branches of Bal Bharti Public School across Delhi-NCR was forwarded to Mr L. V. Sehgal (Principal, Bal Bharti Public School). The session at Noida branch was organised to sensitise the students on organ donation and to discuss the modalities of conducting Angels of Change training for the students from classes IX-XI.

The session focussed on basic concepts of organ donation and transplantation namely the 5 W's, why, when ,who, where and what can you donate, brain stem death, difference between coma and brain death, cardiac death and tissue donation.

It was a comprehensive and interactive session where students had clarity on the said subject and could easily relate to technical terms like brain death and coma. Close to 29 students attended the session.
