On November 12, 2025, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur, conducted an awareness program on “Organ Donation – Gift of Life” for the nursing staff at Kunal Hospital, Nagpur. The session aimed to educate healthcare professionals about the significance of organ donation and encourage them to become informed advocates for this life-saving cause.
On behalf of MOHAN Foundation, Ms. Veena Wathore and Ms. Neha Sailwar facilitated the session.
Ms. Veena Wathore conducted the awareness session and explained the concept of organ and tissue donation, the difference between living and deceased donation and the role of healthcare teams in identifying potential donors. She also shared real-life stories of organ donation, highlighting the impact of timely donations on recipient lives. Additionally, she informed the staff about the various training programs available on the MOHAN Foundation website, encouraging them to enhance their knowledge and skills in the field.
Ms. Neha Sailwar supported the session by distributing MOHAN Foundation brochures to the participants and placing organ donation helpline stickers at key locations inside the hospital. These materials were provided to ensure continued visibility and awareness among staff and visitors.
A total of 45 nursing staff members actively participated in the program. The participants appreciated the informative session and expressed interest in learning more about the organ donation process.
